On August 1st, eight sea turtles began marathon migration with the goal of being the first to complete the 26.2 hundred kilometer journey. Using satellite technology to track their distance, CCC scientists will deploy transmitters on two leatherbacks, two hawksbills, two greens and two loggerheads.
